The ultimate solar system for anyone who values independence from hook up.

Being up to FIVE times more efficient than a conventional flat panel the Alden Sun Power Phenix really does make the most of any sun available.

The panel acts like a conventional panel until activated, but once activated it is anything but conventional. First the electromagnetic locks release, allowing the Phenix to rise like it's name sake. The Phenix is pre-programmed to know the correct elevation of the sun, at any given day, at any time of the year, for the next twenty years!

All you have to do is to punch 01,02 or 03 into the internally mounted key pad to tell Phenix roughly in what part of Europe it is in.

Phenix will make an initial sweep of 359 degrees to asses the brightest part of the sky. After this initial sweep, Phenix will return to the either the sunniest or the brightest section of sky. After one hour it will start to track automatically.

Pre-programmed to "know" when it is sunset, Phenix will, after often being vertical on the roof of the van to catch the dying rays of the sun as it slips over the horizon, return to it's park position, and gently lower itself back to it starting point, the electromagnets locking in to place to stop any additional movement.

Should the engine be started whilst Phenix is elevated, the system will sound an alarm and return to the park position to reduce the chance of any damage to the system.
