Please note we do not offer a mobile installation service. We do not think that any mobile installation is acceptable in this day and age.
Ladders (even wrapped in foam) are not the best way to access the roof of your motorhome.
These are just some of the points to consider before accepting a mobile service:
Will the installer be tired after an early start and a long drive?
If the mobile installers in injured whilst working on your motorhome, do you have the necessary insurance? This could be a real problem whilst working on the roof or under your motorhome! They will tell you differently, but in these days of compensation culture, should a trader injure themselves whilst working on your motorhome on your premises, you can bet that there will be trouble.
Are there sufficient staff available to ensure that the job is finished on time, without shortcuts.
Is there a senior member of staff there to "sign off" the job to ensure that the work has been carried out correctly?
Will the fitter be more concerned about a long tiring drive home, than ensuring that your 100% confident that you fully understand how your new equipment works?
Are you prepared to "stand your ground" when your less than happy with a part of an installation you wish redone, and the fitter having packed his tools away wants to get off home as he has a long drive ahead of him?
When the mobile fitter is halfway through an installation and the heavens open unexpectedly, what happens to the installation?
Where will your personal effects be stored should room be needed inside your lockers etc?
Do you want someone traipsing in and out of your motorhome in wet muddy shoes, in foul weather?
Do you want a stranger in and out using your toilet and asking for tea & coffee?
Would you buy a motorhome from a Company that didn't have the right facilities to offer you the service you expect?
Will the mobile installer have the right tools and spares? if not your installation could be compromised
Is there more to the business than a van, a ladder and a swanky website? How do you know?
Do you work as well stood in the cold and the rain? Most of the work is NOT done in the van, and your doors and lockers will suffer open in the rain
Do you work as well in direct sunlight? often adhesives and sealants will fail prematurely if they are allowed to cure in direct sunlight! Problems for you, in the future after the warranty has expired.
Having offered a mobile service in the early days it quickly became apparent that how ever hard you tried, you couldn't take every tool and every spare that you may be likely to need. If you meet a problem once on site and having started the installation, your stuck. No hope of assistance, no spare parts, only left with the choice of returning to the job when the diary allows, or forging on ahead and hoping that everything will be OK or the customer (you) wont notice.
With a properly run business, operating from modern, clean premises any task can be undertaken. If more staff are needed to finish a task on time, more staff are available to ensure that nothing is rushed.
Everything is tested fully and when you relax at the end of the day in your motorhome, parked in our 3.5 acre campsite within our grounds, your happy in the knowledge that a everything is as it should be, you have had a full explanation and have had a proper demonstration.
When you leave Cornish Farm your happy!
